A new day

First day of December...how exciting! Here it's snowing and the scene in our frontyard is really breathtaking. So beautiful and calm. Mr.snowman is unrecognisable. We'll surely do something about it later today.

There are so many things to get me going today. Like this profile photo of my youngest sister in facebook. It brought me so many good memories of my childhood.

I miss them so much!

Anyway, here's to a new day,may it be as productive as yesterday! Enjoy the wine
.

...and lastly I leave you with a smile to brighten up your Wednesday!

Well, I just remarked on my blog in a response to your comment how much I missed the snow back in America, and you talk about snow on the first day of December! Your blog has a personal touch which I really like.

snow came too early on your side of the world. I have yet to see the first flake here in New York.

re: boots collection - - -been living here for almost 12 years, and in that amount of time one can build a good collection more so if they love shoes. I'm a shoe whore (among all the other addictions that I have), remember? I normally post my shopping finds on my other blog at julianaslair.com, so you can take a peek there once in a while.

thanks for dropping by again.

you should go get a pair now. the better variation may disappear on your size if you keep procrastinating.

Our mid-week get away in Dijon

Dijon, one of the cities in France, was the destination of our mid-week get away. The city, which is well known for its mustard,is a 3-hour train ride from Genève via Lausanne. As I've mentioned in my previous post ,this was my first time to visit the city. We arrived mid-day to a gloomy surrounding and headed to Quick, sort of Jollibee here. Yet,the real treat was in the old town. Walking on the paved street for me was like being transported to another era. Aside from Musée des Beaux-Arts Dijon, we were able to visit Cathédrale de Saint Bénigne and the Notre Dame de Dijon. However, due to time constraint we were not able to visit other places. Our evening meal was in Le Théâtre des Sens, a small but cozy restaurant and where I've tried escargot. Yes, I did and blame it on the kir! Our dinner was really good, the waiter was very cheery and accomodating. We stayed at the Hotel Des Ducs where we spent the rest of the night watching crime scene investigation. Ah! the joy of havin

Light in the sky

For a long time I am fascinated by the sky, but this has been fuelled up when I joined Sky Watch Friday . I am really thankful for this!
