The mother in me

There are times that I could pat my back and said that - " yes, I did a good job today". Other times there's this doubt and question of my attitude towards the girls. I'm not a perfect Nanay. That's for sure so I get upset and irritated. I even scream at times when stress out esp. if the girls get into my nerves. They could be adorable then challenging the next. A lot of times I've talked to my hubby about this and of course he would say something which could reassure me and my never-ending self doubt.

Being perfect is not my goal, just to be the loving mother. Someone whom my daughters could be proud of.

Am I alone in this agony?

At the end of the day it's these little imperfections about you that makes you the perfect mom for your children. :)

You're not alone and I know it wasn't easy. It's a hell of a bumpy ride especially with moody-teen hormone. Love them unconditionally.

I don't think so Ate Mayet.. sometimes there are really point in our family that children don't understand how hard the parents look out for them... and sometimes maybe vice versa...

I love my mom so dearly.. but sometimes she's being a bug. I mean, I want us to connect more.. but she usually close the deal without clearing it up for the both of us.

I don't know.. but Ate Mayet..whatever happens, your children will always love you for who you are.

I can identify with you as I have a toddler too. There are times when patience wears thin but the next moment they can be so adorable :)

You are not alone, Mayet. I have two kids, a girl and a boy. Most of the time di sila magka sundo.it is hard sometimes. I stopped working long time ago just to take care of them and I enjoy every minute of it.

Our mid-week get away in Dijon

Dijon, one of the cities in France, was the destination of our mid-week get away. The city, which is well known for its mustard,is a 3-hour train ride from Genève via Lausanne. As I've mentioned in my previous post ,this was my first time to visit the city. We arrived mid-day to a gloomy surrounding and headed to Quick, sort of Jollibee here. Yet,the real treat was in the old town. Walking on the paved street for me was like being transported to another era. Aside from Musée des Beaux-Arts Dijon, we were able to visit Cathédrale de Saint Bénigne and the Notre Dame de Dijon. However, due to time constraint we were not able to visit other places. Our evening meal was in Le Théâtre des Sens, a small but cozy restaurant and where I've tried escargot. Yes, I did and blame it on the kir! Our dinner was really good, the waiter was very cheery and accomodating. We stayed at the Hotel Des Ducs where we spent the rest of the night watching crime scene investigation. Ah! the joy of havin

Light in the sky

For a long time I am fascinated by the sky, but this has been fuelled up when I joined Sky Watch Friday . I am really thankful for this!
