Here we are again!

It's almost back to normal in our household. Hubby has cleared off the lawn--almost! and his back is a bit okay. It would be sunny today so we are heading outside. I'm still trying to memorize so many things in my lesson that I opted to take some supplements to help me with this. Why? I feel that I am not that alert as before or am I just not focusing well on my task...I am worried. So what's new? anyway, I still want more time to be able to check my fave blog but it seems that it won't be for today. Sorry:(

Early delivery

I would like to have a real Christmas tree but wasn't expecting it today. Yes, this early, we have a 40 or so year old pine tree in our front yard. Well, actually just the tip of it. The rest is still standing and swaying due to strong wind. Just like the other trees beside it. But everybody's safe! I cannot say the same thing for my strawberries, raspberries and herbs, though. : (

Candlelit breakfast

The power was temporarily down for a half day in our neighborhood a few days ago! It was early in the morning when I took these pictures. The candles lighted the house for almost 3 hours. It brought back memories during those times when there were "brown outs" back home. We would sing, tell stories or play charades and had good laughs. Somehow we never ran out of things to do just to pass the time while waiting for the power to be restored. Those precious times will always put a smile on my face.

Stage Mommy?

W hat do you do when people start saying that your daughter can't do that yet or that she isn't courageuse to this or that? Annoying isn't it, especially when it came from those close to you or those in the daycare center. I was really eager to take K. to the latter so she can meet other children her age. It was also a start for her to learn new things. But I am starting to ask if it was really a good idea to put her in this daycare center. I should have trusted my feelings. My conversation over the phone with the head of the center was okay. This was the second center I have visited. The children are not that a lot during the mornings and there were 3 adults who supervise them. The first center we have visited where someone I knew works wasn't able to accomodate K.at once but she was put in the waiting list. She liked it there! As I want her to meet other children, K. started going to the daycare center 2 and during her first day, the daycare center 1 called me up. Th

Destination - - Paris, France

For the very first time, I have visited Paris with my lovely Triad and cousins. We left at 7am and after 3 hours of train ride we arrived at the Paris-Gare de Lyon! It was perhaps because of our excitedness or our sense of orientation was really and truly bungled or the mere fact that metro signs were like chinese to us--we got lost in the metro for over two hours--yes, I repeat--two- %&£#@!! hours!!You might be wondering how on earth could this happen to minded ladies like us. Well, I also wonder! But at least we were able to go to Trocadero, had our pictures snapped in front of Eiffel Tower, visit a bit of Champs Elysée and walk along Boulevard de Clichy up to the hotel (the traffic was terrible!) It seemed like watching a film in the fast-forward mode. I still haven't had the time to take it all in that I found myself queueing up to get our train back home! This time we were two hours early--worried that we might miss our metro stop again. Well, I feel like an experienced

Family funday!

This was how it looked like this morning. But the weather didn't deter us from taking a walk in our favorite open market in Plaine de Plainpalais. Just look at this wonderful array of colors. Awesome!! So nevermind the wind, dress well, go out and savour this day!

Changes...

It's sad that I am back again to zero...no reader...no new link...I really need to work more on this blog. Anyway, it's another season. Summer has long been gone and back to cold, foggy days. But looking around I am in awe of the colors of my surrounding. It has added a new excitement while walking to this quite neighborhood. I have to take pictures soon, capture the wonders and share it to everyone... I am back...I hope to stay...!
