Rainy May Poem

30 Day Snapshots # 25 One day in May So thankful to you, rain, but my garden is well watered now.   Everything's blooming, plants are growing but really, I'd like to put my rain boots away. Even my gals would love to have the visit of the sun Please, please bbq with friends I'd like to have some fun. Thank you, rain, but have a rest for a while I do like you but for now be gone ;) Here's to more sunny days for the month of May.

A week in a camper van and the moving canvas

30 Day Snapshots # 24 The scenery would change every time and there was no dull moment in a camper van. You could not ignore them. Either you click your way from one scenery to another or merely seat there and enjoy the view. Either way, you'd be assured of the breathtaking view. It would feel like living in a moving canvas.

My hidden zen garden

30 Day Snapshots # 23 Walis tingting (broom stick) Every morning, while growing up in a village we fondly called "Isla Berde", I would hear that familiar sound. The scratching noise of the sticks touching the ground along with my Grandmother's footsteps. Nevertheless, no one was spared in using the "walis ting-ting". When I was sturdy enough, it became my morning ritual. A right of passage just like when an eight year old girl started to cook rice over wood fire. However, you wouldn't think that any grade schooler would love sweeping the front yard early in the morning. It was something I didn't like in the beginning but there was something about being alone outside and seeing the sun slowly appearing. Revealing  the whole Isla Berde with its tall trees and green surrounding.  And when you  survey everything, it looked like a zen garden. The dusty ground would have traces of tidy lines and footsteps. Seemingly well-raked yard and clutter free e

A colorful day with Erin & Pongo

30 Day Snapshots # 22 It was a drizzling kind of day. She ran, jumped, and happily picked up twigs while holding her favorite Pongo . A spunky little gal, she can be a real challenge to her parents. But her funny antics rescue her most of the time.

Holiday in a camper van

The ride The first time I laid eyes on this one, I was amazed. A promise of many road trips and camping was written all over her.  But this is not what we have taken on a camping but rather this:    Nevertheless, it was still an exciting experience for the whole family.  A week of bonding and adventure. Something we'll all cherish. ♡
