Maricar Reyes bid goodbye!!

"Tell him, tell him I always loved him" How with a simple line like this can an actress named Maricar Reyes made me cry buckets? Playing Samantha Imperial in the Imortal series of ABS-CBN, her character made her last appearance the other night. The way she said her last line was simply remarkable and so hearbreaking. Hat's off to one of my fave actresses. You might also like: Very early morning chit-chat The artist Thursday with Nanay Mama mia! Howzat

On the road

Half-asleep and wondering why my husband wasn't complaining that I wasn't talking to him, a sudden thud and screeching sound woke me up. The car was swaying on the road. I turned to check our sleeping children and looked at my husband beside me, he was pale and surprised on what had just transpired. So he fell asleep behind the wheels even if the music was on. We were both shocked but thankful that aside from the damaged car nothing serious happened. Lesson here: Never drive when you're tired. Refrain from sleeping to keep your husband company and talk...just keep on talking. It'll keep him awake. You might also like: A Taste of Home- - - almost! Sunday and rainbow ? Never, never!!

1983 Lebanon Five families huddled in the basement of an eight- floor apartment building. Adults were scared, silently praying while children were crying. Sitting next to her older sister, a 23 year old Filipina stood abruptly and made her way at the center of the group, climbed up on a table and started to sing. Her voice penetrated the room, trying her best to conceal the noise in and outside. Then the children stopped crying. Everyone were all eyes on her, this made her sing louder and at the end of "Never, never!" applause was heard all over the room. In that instant the bombing was forgotten, the war that was ravaging the country seemed far-away. No, her singing didn't create a miracle in Lebanon but somehow this lady managed to prevent the fear that was hovering in that basement cloud everyone's strength and spirit even for a day. As the applause faded, she stepped down and smiled, thankful that her trembling knees didn't give her away. Elsa is now working a

An unusual encounter

How would you react if you came face to face with something you'd never imagine you'd see? It was a good day to garden--sun was up, the girls were asleep and hay fever was not on today. As I was busy cutting the grass, imagining how my cherry tomatoes would be in a month or so, there it was, coiled lazily in the corner. As it turned to look at me, a sudden panick hit me and all I did was stopped and got up as fast as I could. Imagining that the snake was behind me I ran like crazy. Once inside the house and still trembling of that unusual encounter, I've waken my husband up and told him all about it. As we searched the internet, images of snakes appeared and I was enveloped with uneasiness but the only feature I could remember was it's yellow and black color. Thinking that my knight in shining armour of a husband would come out with me holding an axe or something(sorry, if this sounds gross), I was kinda disappointed to find out that he was scared of snake(but who isn&#
