How could I forget about my excuses? It was over the weekend that I faltered. Telling myself that it was okay not to wake up early. It was Saturday. Then Sunday came. Now it's Monday. Having woken up by my youngest in the middle of the night was my excuse. Looking at my calendar I have realized that there are still so many excuses lurking behind. It was a lovely night, we were all in the parasoled terrace and enjoying a warm evening. We dubbbed it the seafood night--we feasted on crab/fish/veggies with coconut milk, caldereta de cordero, vermicelli salad and of course pancit. Get together like this wouldn't be complete without that famed Magic Sing-we joked that our friend's needed to be upgraded. Booksale!! I'm really excited about The Library in English booksale. It is something I look forward to and is on from tomorrow till Saturday. The thought of doing something worthwhile instead of browsing from one celebrity news to another came to me at the right time. I was beginning to neglect everything that would eventually lead me to be a better person. I am now officially into my two-week challenge. My lesson has been continued and my alarm clock is set to 5 am. Brisk walking has been part of my daily routine and the book that I have started reading a long time ago will hopefully soon be finished. I needed this push, to really understand myself and what I need to be able to arrive at my destination in life. The line is blinking- somehow telling me to type and not waste my time staring at the image of the bread. I would really like to tell you about how I found the recipe or how I coaxed my eldest that we would bake after her nap but it didn't feel right. So here I am staring at the bread I made with my eldest that tasted so good and still trying to think of something interesting to write. My mind is blank...nevertheless let's share this slice. The wind is blowing so hard and there's no squirrel hopping from tree to tree even the birds are no where in sight.The river in front of the house is overflowing with muddy water. Three weeks ago we were so hopeful and delighted that although it was still kinda chilly, it felt spring. We had barbecue and even harvested lots of wild garlic leaves. Finally!! we unanimously agreed the summer is just around the corner But Mother Nature has other plans. They even announced snow. Thankfully,not here. Now, as I pause and look outside I imagine summer. One full of fun,laughter and excitement.
