Garden love

Will try again to bring you  life With red, orange as well as white. It might take long with wind even hail But I promise you'll be a sight to behold.  Slugs might want to camp and party all night. My garden, dear garden. Just the same I will be your guard.

Thankful

Espoo,Finland 2015 It was sunny this morning. The heat penetrating my face as I sat beside my husband, watching our girls went round and round the rink joyfully. I closed my eyes for a brief moment and revel in the warmth of the day. How I love to linger and fully submerge in this idle moment. To take my shoes off and pretend that it's 27° C. To drink aperol spritz... Nevertheless, I am thankful. For the warm day and family.  Cheerful girls and renversé.  Till next time Sunday.

Today

The bell rang and she glanced up as I held her hand. “Nanay”(Mother) she uttered. I didn’t understand so I kept on walking with her. Suddenly she stopped and bravely said: I can handle this! I looked at her with admiration coupled with disappointment. No more whining, no more tiny arms entwined around my legs, nor the famous “I want to stay with you forever”. She kissed me and waved goodbye. And I stood there, under the rain, watching my 6 year old confidently walk towards the school building. I can handle this.
