A mug of tea, the usual dried fish and fried rice, of course the shrimp paste. This will definitely be a good morning, now with my to-do list...;)

Sunny day

T oday is a great day to-- stock up on these newly chopped woods for next winter's fire. have a bbq. Grilled corn, fish, sausages and potato salad. yum!! enjoy the flowers around. of course, finally hang the clothes outside. Simple things which can truly make life a pleasant one.

L'ail des ours/wild garlic

It's the time of the year again when these wild plants sprout and give life to our surrounding. Their strong scent give them away nevertheless they taste good. I love them grilled with bread sprinkled with a dash of olive oil or some butter.

Husband's crèche

Hmmm...Will you entrust your hubby to them?

Weekend getaway

Penny Lane... Cavern Club ...strawberry fields...cheddar cheese. Beatles' Liverpool was our latest destination. A lovely city. Wonderful people but the biggest feat of all was understanding them. Much as I love english accents, there were quite a few occasions which left me open-mouthed with awe and uttermost doubt of my capacity to grasp the language. Hmmm...It felt terrible. click image for a larger view I would love to stay longer and immerse myself into their culture, jog around Albert Dock, cry my b__t off in the Slavery museum and Titanic(very interesting exhibits here),drink more shandy, watch passers-by who are Adelle look-a-like and most importantly figure out what the girl had said on how to find the Cavern club. click image for a larger view But just like Peter Bishop (hey, I'm a FRINGE fan)I needed to go back to my time line. Be with my girls...finish my lessons and long-overdue homework, my never-ending household chores and yes to my REALITY,luv.

Homesick

A high school classmate is missing home and had posted on his "wall" the food he used to eat while on vacation. I know that posting these pictures won't alleviate his longing, just want to show that I'm with him.

Are these shoes made for walking?

I was in my Dockers when lo and behold these lovely colorful shoes appeared right before my eyes. Right then and there a feeling came rushing in. I would like to have one, the only question was---would I be able to walk in it? My giddiness turned into frustration and I resigned myself to admiring them. So for now I'll walk comfortably in my rubber shoes and put my longing aside.
