Light in the sky

For a long time I am fascinated by the sky, but this has been fuelled up when I joined Sky Watch Friday . I am really thankful for this!

Ayaw ko! /Reject

This is my daughter Karen who visibly doesn't like the car seat. We tried everthing to make her stay on it but she just ended up crying. She has tried other seats but didn't have the same reaction. So we just put the seat away and now I am looking for another one.

I wonder...

I wonder why my hubby can't keep this area clean... but he can always concoct something like this.

Back to School!!

I thought I would never hear their noise again, but it was all in my dreams : ) Maybe I just missed them that's why this morning I have asked my husband if it isn't the first day of school. Looking outside he saw that they are already in their rooms. Yes, there is a school just in front of our window and I am talking about the children whose noise were absent for almost two months. Now they are back and at exactly 10am this morning, I have the proof of that! The laughter, the screaming and the excitement in their voices, I can clearly hear! Well, I can always close the window anyway, it's getting cold now. Welcome back, boys and girls, I hope you will have a great time in school!

Sunset in rue Lombard

This is what we see every afternoon just outside our window. The little speck in the picture is a bird hovering by.

My hurried morning

For the first time in many years, I have started my day with a mug of coffee. I really need some boost after a long evening with baby K. She is teething and at the same time has colds and face with so many chores to be done, I thought coffee would be a great ally for today. My daughter is sleeping soundly and hopefully before she wakes up, my work is finish. So, I thought that 1 hr in front of the computer is enough this morning. That would mean no visit to the sites I usually read, anyway, there is still tomorrow, right?

Moi the lioness

I just can't help but add another post today!! The reason? I am turning 38 tomorrow and this is really a big deal for me. 38 years old!! Can you imagine that? I can still remember when I was 24 and thinking of things that I wanted to accomplish in 6 years. Now, 14 years have gone by and here I am--trying to figure out what happened all these years. Well, let's see--came to Genève, left, then came back again. Put up a business...failed...financially challenged after that...now, slowly but will surely be back on my feet and not forgetting my lesson--choose wisely whom to trust. Oh! yes there was my wedding and I had a baby. Fast forward to August. When this month started, I have felt that something was wrong. Even my milk supply diminished. Tired most of the time. Angry for no apparent reason. I thought that I was having a depression. Then family and friends started asking me about how I wanted to celebrate my birthday. I refused to have one. All I want is to be quiet and refl...

Getting back into shape

It's not that easy to lose weight. The road is long and one really needs to be persistent. A month ago, I have written a post about my need to get back into shape. I am still doing something about it, but not weighing myself up until now. My problem area is my belly. This all begun when I was pregnant--thinking that I could eat whatever I wanted and could get away with it. But getting back to my old self after giving birth was the hardest part. The urgency to get to my old clothes didn't present itself until last month. So now, I am slowly trying to do something about it. Really thankful this time that we live in the last floor of a 5 floor-apartment building without a lift. Walking up and down is one of my exercises. It is not easy with a baby in your arm, and honestly there are times that I complain but I manage. Thru blog hopping I have read two amazing stories about women who decided to lose weight and have reached their goal. They gave me encouragement to do the same. Ch...

My postcard-like view

This is my first post for SkyWatchFriday . We were on our way to Coron,Palawan when I have taken this picture, but it's a shame I can't remember the exact place, anyhow, the overwhelming joy of seeing the scenery in front of me stayed in my heart. For more images, please visit here .

Liwaliw/Going out and having fun

The photo I have used was taken in Verbier where my mother-in-law celebrated her birthday. This is my daughter having fun in her pool under the sun.

Sunny Day

With my "Hickory Dickory Dock" background music, I am starting this lovely sunny day with enthusiasm. After a rainy Tuesday, today looks more promising and hopefully I can accomplish the things that need to be done. Oh! well, this would mean turning off the computer and start moving. Not an easy feat coz I think that this whole blogging thing is making me more attached to the computer and the swivel chair ;), but I am a grown-up Nanay with a baby who's having a grand time strewing magazines all over the place. Time-out now!

Tuesday blues

It's not easy to get back to normal routine after almost two weeks of holiday. My whole being refuse to function and looking around me--lounging on the sofa isn't a good idea. My dishes needs to be washed and there's cleaning to be done. Bags of children's clothes from a friend has to be sorted out. I need an energizer, something to keep me awake and be more productive!!!

My Logo

I have needed a logo for Vhiel's site and found cooltext .This a simple link button but there are many to choose from. Anyway, maybe next time I will edit the image, but for now this one is ok.

Karen's 9 months old today!

Little Ms.Grumpy Ms.Curly Hair Ms.Happyface She has improved a lot though can be cranky and mischievous at times. Likes bananas and loves Nanay's milk. I bet she will soon have her first tooth.

Wish list

The garbage can I want to have. My hubby's garbage can of all time. A gift from his long-time friend. He doesn't want to be separated with this. This is the kind of cloth diaper I want to get, hubby thinks that they are so expensive but I believe that in the long run they are worth the price, besides these kinds are ecological. I have found the site of a shop near Genève that sells this kind of diaper. More convincing to do.

Grrrr!!!

I tried not to be stress while packing and turned the radio on instead. But how do you pack for your baby's things and travel light? This holiday is the very first for the whole family and preparing Karen's bag is really a challenge. My husband wants to travel light and I want to bring stuff that I am sure she will need. Help!!!

Vacation

I took a few minutes off from packing our things to do a post here and thank those people who voted for Karen. Maraming salamat ho sa inyong lahat!! Thank you very much!! It has been a great experience for the Nanay : ) coz during my blog hopping, I was able to see a lot of interesting blogs that inspired me. We will be going to Prague for 10 days, I am really excited coz this is one of the cities I have been longing to visit. Our village's patron saint-St. John Nepomucene- was from Prague, so it would be really amazing to see his markings in the city. See you all soon!!
