Thursday with Nanay

Who am I kidding? She doesn't like rice and that's it.I think my desire for her to appreciate and love it will not happen.(music please!) My dream of us enjoying  lunch together--Nanay's style--is just that, a DREAM. She will not know how good to have it with fried sardines, tomatoes and onion.Or how it taste with shrimp paste and a bit of hot pepper. With sautéed shrimp,etc.etc... (stop music).

From today, I will not insist rice anymore--goodness, it hurts :( , but I think someone isn't that worried and maybe smiling as he reads this. You know  who you are--so stop that!! :-)
Poor thing, she ended up eating her sister's apple compote.

maybe she'll grow out of her dislike for rice. give it time, though. The problem with rice though is that it's sugar. A lot of people find it hard to sacrifice when they try to lose weight. so I guess this is also a blessing in disguise.
I love your daughter's hair,so cute!!
Sorry for your predicament.Although both of my boys eat rice, but it's my eldest who is 8 that most of the time giving me a hard time,it took a while until he appreciate it while my youngest loves rice, he even love eating it w/ Bagoong Alamang. :D
Aw, that's nice of you to give up on the rice. Obviously, she does not like it. A good relationship with her is much more important! She's cute.

Stopping by from SITS.

Our mid-week get away in Dijon

Dijon, one of the cities in France, was the destination of our mid-week get away. The city, which is well known for its mustard,is a 3-hour train ride from Genève via Lausanne. As I've mentioned in my previous post ,this was my first time to visit the city. We arrived mid-day to a gloomy surrounding and headed to Quick, sort of Jollibee here. Yet,the real treat was in the old town. Walking on the paved street for me was like being transported to another era. Aside from Musée des Beaux-Arts Dijon, we were able to visit Cathédrale de Saint Bénigne and the Notre Dame de Dijon. However, due to time constraint we were not able to visit other places. Our evening meal was in Le Théâtre des Sens, a small but cozy restaurant and where I've tried escargot. Yes, I did and blame it on the kir! Our dinner was really good, the waiter was very cheery and accomodating. We stayed at the Hotel Des Ducs where we spent the rest of the night watching crime scene investigation. Ah! the joy of havin...

I wonder...

How can I stop looking up the sky? With it's beauty that never ceases to amaze me.

Light in the sky

For a long time I am fascinated by the sky, but this has been fuelled up when I joined Sky Watch Friday . I am really thankful for this!
