Summer!!!!where art thou?

As I began to type this, the sun suddenly appeared but my question remain the same. Is it summer yet? Sun, flowers,bees and tomatoes. I only try to imagine my garden but it feels like June in the Philippines.
For some time now I long to have a garden full of blossoming flowers, herb and tomatoes. All I get is slugs's visit. They are having fun in our garden. I am not!!! Holed cabbages...Cosmos sans leaves...and I don't even want to mention my coriandre.
Back in March we were able to harvest some red raddish.

They didn't even make it with the salad.

Anyway, the 10-Day Weather Forecast for Geneva looks promising. I wish I could say the same for my garden.

oh my...today is the official day of summer in the US...I would ask exactly the same....summer, where art thou...lol!

Vacation over

It's kinda hard to get up early again after 2 weeks of staying up late.I've started taking the girls early to bed and of course, they're awake at around 6h30. Our mid-week get away in Dijon

Dijon, one of the cities in France, was the destination of our mid-week get away. The city,which is well known for its mustard,is a 3-hour train ride from Genève via Lausanne. As I've mentioned in my previous post ,this was my first time to visit the city. We arrived mid-day to a gloomy surrounding and headed to Quick, sort of Jollibee here. Yet,the real treat was in the old town. Walking on the paved street for me was like being transported to another era. Aside from Musée des Beaux-Arts Dijon, we were able to visit Cathédrale de Saint Bénigne and the Notre Dame de Dijon. However,due to time constraint we were not able to visit other places. Our evening meal was in Le Théâtre des Sens, a small but cozy restaurant and where I've tried escargot. Yes, I did and blame it on the kir! Our dinner was really good,the waiter was very cheery and accomodating. We stayed at the Hotel Des Ducs where we spent the rest of the night watching crime scene investigation. Ah! the joy of havin...

I want to be like him today. Smiling...even if Erin's sick and hasn't been sleeping well for two nights now. Or despite the fact that my computer is under repair.
