Orange and flower

One of my latest discoveries is the fabric from Ikea. Okay, granted that I have been living here for quite a while now, I should have known that I could cut, weigh them and out came the price--yes just like when one buys some fruits or veggies! But nope, I was like a child--so excited by my latest find.
Anyway, the one I used to change our sit cover was supposed to be for Karen's crayon holder. I fell in love with the vibrant color. The chairs were given by a friend. The initial cover was white and at the time Karen was just starting to eat, and we know how little children at that stage. So I changed them to orange and it actually blended well in our old apartment. Now after almost two years it's time for a change.

The color might not be in harmony with our carpet but I think it adds spark to our living/dining area. And with the autumn season now on its full swing adding colors like this will enhance energy and creativity in our home and the girls love them!

Our mid-week get away in Dijon

Dijon, one of the cities in France, was the destination of our mid-week get away. The city, which is well known for its mustard,is a 3-hour train ride from Genève via Lausanne. As I've mentioned in my previous post ,this was my first time to visit the city. We arrived mid-day to a gloomy surrounding and headed to Quick, sort of Jollibee here. Yet,the real treat was in the old town. Walking on the paved street for me was like being transported to another era. Aside from Musée des Beaux-Arts Dijon, we were able to visit Cathédrale de Saint Bénigne and the Notre Dame de Dijon. However, due to time constraint we were not able to visit other places. Our evening meal was in Le Théâtre des Sens, a small but cozy restaurant and where I've tried escargot. Yes, I did and blame it on the kir! Our dinner was really good, the waiter was very cheery and accomodating. We stayed at the Hotel Des Ducs where we spent the rest of the night watching crime scene investigation. Ah! the joy of havin...

Vacation over

It's kinda hard to get up early again after 2 weeks of staying up late.I've started taking the girls early to bed and of course, they're awake at around 6h30. My husband on the other hand has started working and I think he misses his late mornings. Now it's back to normal sched again. Now, I'm lazily doing my chores and still hoping that my mug of coffee will take effect soon. How do you get back to normal routine after weeks of vacation? Imortal invades my home

A special thanks to My CHOS for letting me use the above photo. Just click on the photo to see more of John Lloyd and Angel Locsin. Recently, I have been smiling a lot because of John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin. This is after I have discovered Imortal one fine afternoon when the girls were having their nap and Nanay was having her quiet moment. Many viewers have compared the series to Twilight which I haven't seen yet. Yes, I might be the only soul who has not seen the film though I &hearts Robert Pattinson's eyes. Maybe soon, when I've got the time. Anyway, back to Imortal and John Lloyd Cruz--yes, this is my new fave tv series. I look forward every night for my girls to go to bed so that I can watch Imortal in peace. There are times when I just watch a week of the series on Fridays. This saves me time and I got to do something else. There's only one thing which frustrates me--nobody to share my "kilig Imortal" moments with. Now,please excuse me if I...
