At last!!

These may not become raspberry jam in the near future but seeing a cluster of them in our garden for the very first time made my day. I just hope that blackbirds don't see them.

I love berries also, growing up we had fresh fruit all around our house. Apples, pears, cherries, grapes, rasberries, black berries, plumbs, and other fruits... Have a wonderful day..

Fresh na fresh talaga pag may sarili kang tanim. Sana nga di makita ng mga blackbirds at baka unahan pa kayo. hehehe!

Hi Mayet!

Wow, I've never seen a raspberry na fresh talaga. I only see them in the grocery produce area in plastic boxes :) I do hope the birds don't get to them first.

Hugs,

I haven't seen a close-up of black berries and hopefully too, the birds don't get to them first :)

How are you these days? Hope all is well. Question: Are there still snow around end of March to half of April in the Alps? I'm getting feed backs from friends and locals I know about the places I want to consider on my 40th European trip birthday theme ;) Visiting Interlaken and the Top of Europe is in my list.

Vacation over

It's kinda hard to get up early again after 2 weeks of staying up late.I've started taking the girls early to bed and of course, they're awake at around 6h30. My husband on the other hand has started working and I think he misses his late mornings. Now it's back to normal sched again. Now, I'm lazily doing my chores and still hoping that my mug of coffee will take effect soon. How do you get back to normal routine after weeks of vacation? Our mid-week get away in Dijon

Dijon, one of the cities in France, was the destination of our mid-week get away. The city, which is well known for its mustard,is a 3-hour train ride from Genève via Lausanne. As I've mentioned in my previous post ,this was my first time to visit the city. We arrived mid-day to a gloomy surrounding and headed to Quick, sort of Jollibee here. Yet,the real treat was in the old town. Walking on the paved street for me was like being transported to another era. Aside from Musée des Beaux-Arts Dijon, we were able to visit Cathédrale de Saint Bénigne and the Notre Dame de Dijon. However, due to time constraint we were not able to visit other places. Our evening meal was in Le Théâtre des Sens, a small but cozy restaurant and where I've tried escargot. Yes, I did and blame it on the kir! Our dinner was really good, the waiter was very cheery and accomodating. We stayed at the Hotel Des Ducs where we spent the rest of the night watching crime scene investigation. Ah! the joy of havin...

A Kulasa and being on (Swiss) time

I cannot remember being "that late" besides I am a Kulasa and being on the dot was instilled in me. Well, there were times that due to unforseen circumstances I would be 5-10 mins late but that was it. So it was during my first two years of living here that I have really learned the importance of Swiss time . That thanks to my Mama. My mother would leave me when I didn't arrive on time. I would be upset and could not fathom the idea of being left like that. So I've learned to be on the dot(again) every time I have to see her. The idea of being late and being left behind stresses me to the max esp. if it is Mama. Now that I have two gals an extra time allowance has to be given so as not to be late. Besides, the buses have their stop and schedule so there are no more excuses. All I have to do is just be on time!
