6th day - 5 things TODAY (till Christmas)

 It's a rainy Sunday.

  1. Failed in my attempt to sundry some tomatoes. Nevertheless, there is a thing called next time
  2. Mumbled my grateful prayer for my ati Elsa.  A very long time ago, we frequented the same school and when she got so busy she gave me her remaining course. To this day, I am glad to stay on despite the seemingly turtle-like progression in my skill. Bless your heart, my ati Elsa.
  3. Morning chitchat with my schnafouille on our terrace over a mug of coffee. It was drizzling, our cat was coming our way from her hiding spot. I laughed at something he said. Finishing his cigarette and the 2nd  cup of espresso, he went back inside. I stayed on and embraced the stillness of my surroundings.
  4. Silenced my mind for a few minutes. It is really a challenge to quiet my mind, to let it stop wandering so that I can empty whatever there is to let go.
  5. Inspired by a fellow Pinay living in Canada. I was smiling while watching her garden. I have hope and plan to make our garden better next year.
It might not be obvious that you are making someone smile, that you are inspiring anyone, that you are making someone else's day better. Yet you are. So YOU do YOU.

Thank you, I am truly grateful that you are here, in this awesome UNIVERSE.

How can I stop looking up the sky? With it's beauty that never ceases to amaze me.

Our mid-week get away in Dijon

Dijon, one of the cities in France, was the destination of our mid-week get away. The city, which is well known for its mustard,is a 3-hour train ride from Genève via Lausanne. As I've mentioned in my previous post ,this was my first time to visit the city. We arrived mid-day to a gloomy surrounding and headed to Quick, sort of Jollibee here. Yet,the real treat was in the old town. Walking on the paved street for me was like being transported to another era. Aside from Musée des Beaux-Arts Dijon, we were able to visit Cathédrale de Saint Bénigne and the Notre Dame de Dijon. However, due to time constraint we were not able to visit other places. Our evening meal was in Le Théâtre des Sens, a small but cozy restaurant and where I've tried escargot. Yes, I did and blame it on the kir! Our dinner was really good, the waiter was very cheery and accomodating. We stayed at the Hotel Des Ducs where we spent the rest of the night watching crime scene investigation. Ah! the joy of havin

Light in the sky

For a long time I am fascinated by the sky, but this has been fuelled up when I joined Sky Watch Friday . I am really thankful for this!
