8th day - 5 things TODAY

Champex-Lac

  1. Listened to Beethoven. I grew up listening to folk and country music. Classical music is so foreign to me. Then in one of my attempts to become a more cultured human being, I visited a disc shop (years ago) in Place de Bel-air and the sales staff recommended Vivaldi's Four Seasons but my repertoire stopped there. Now, in introducing myself to another classical piece, I am giving another experience to my brain.
  2. Showed up. I did not feel like typing anything because the comfort of the bed was calling me but here I am.
  3. Journal. Writing my thoughts on a paper is still one of the things  I like to do. It's like my morning conversation with God.
  4. The pathway. Every day it is strewn by dried leaves and sweeping it clean reminded me of my chores growing up back home.  I didn't like doing it at that time, however, it became something of a mindfulness practice. My mind does not wander, I am PRESENT.
  5. Ginger tea. Reduces inflammation.

Let it snow, let it snow--man!

The rasta-inspired creation of my hubby and Ms.K After loads of rolling here and there, it's done. Our first snowman of the season.;)It might not last long and will surely lose its precious eyes by tomorrow, but for now let's enjoy that smile. This reminds me of something, I just can't put my finger on it. Hmmm, do you have any idea? Think...think...! Eh-oh! Smile, it's Monday!

Vacation over

It's kinda hard to get up early again after 2 weeks of staying up late.I've started taking the girls early to bed and of course, they're awake at around 6h30. My husband on the other hand has started working and I think he misses his late mornings. Now it's back to normal sched again. Now, I'm lazily doing my chores and still hoping that my mug of coffee will take effect soon. How do you get back to normal routine after weeks of vacation?
