Altitude - TODAY

We had a very early morning. Dropped one daughter off at the tram station, left the other while she was getting ready for school, and drove to Plateau de Glières to forage some bolet and chanterelles.
It's an hour or so from Lancy. We were not the first ones to arrive and hoped to find a lot of mushrooms

5 things TODAY.
  1. Silence. We were together in silence amidst the forest.
  2. Coffee. It was a bit cold while walking in the forest and we thought of having some coffee once we were in the village but due to time constraints went to do the grocery first and headed home in time for lunch. Next time we plan to be coffee-ready even stay longer and have the day only for gathering mushrooms
  3. Kindness. We all need that today.
  4. Patience. Foraging mushrooms is synonymous with patience. We walk towards that goal of finding the chanterelle yet if and when there's none, it's alright. Next season again.
  5. Being grateful. Of our time together, of the lone chanterelle and the bolet or bolete we found.
Great night to all.

Let it snow, let it snow--man!

The rasta-inspired creation of my hubby and Ms.K After loads of rolling here and there, it's done. Our first snowman of the season.;)It might not last long and will surely lose its precious eyes by tomorrow, but for now let's enjoy that smile. This reminds me of something, I just can't put my finger on it. Hmmm, do you have any idea? Think...think...! Eh-oh! Smile, it's Monday!

Vacation over

It's kinda hard to get up early again after 2 weeks of staying up late.I've started taking the girls early to bed and of course, they're awake at around 6h30. My husband on the other hand has started working and I think he misses his late mornings. Now it's back to normal sched again. Now, I'm lazily doing my chores and still hoping that my mug of coffee will take effect soon. How do you get back to normal routine after weeks of vacation?
