What's up?

 What am I doing?

Well, this is a desperate move to do a blog post a day late because I wasn't able to follow my schedule last week. Yeah, I can definitely cite a lot of reasons why, but it will not change the fact that I did not stick to my writing time. Now, this is just a tiny step to be consistent and follow my agenda even though my body and brain are trying to do something else.

But it's Monday, a new day, and I want to be kind to myself and not be stressed. So I write whatever comes into my head, while Spotify is on. I recently discovered the song I Feel Good, a positive song written by Ingrid.

I am getting tired and want to sleep (heatwave here in Europe), but I want to write something this afternoon. There's just no specific subject that I can write about. So, I am typing with my eyes closed and hoping that something will fly by and give me that inspiration to type something worthwhile and something which comes from my being. I have been using the word being for some time now.  I like it; it feels so deep.

It was 37°C yesterday. I had a shower before ironing some bedsheets for The Chalet. It helped with the mini electric fan on 3. Yes, The Chalet is almost finished, and the renovation took almost a year.

My fingers are so stiff. Typing is a good exercise. Eyes closed, yes. I feel that there will be new words and thoughts which can come out while my fingers type each letter. I am really grateful to have taken the typing lesson
Ahh, lesson - I should have paid attention in H.E. and Practical Arts classes . I was about to type regret, but held it back. My solution is to learn sewing and eventually create my own pyjamas.

So there you have it, 6 or so paragraphs of my scattered thoughts. Happy to share it with the Universe.

Till next week.

Our mid-week get away in Dijon

Dijon, one of the cities in France, was the destination of our mid-week get away. The city, which is well known for its mustard,is a 3-hour train ride from Genève via Lausanne. As I've mentioned in my previous post ,this was my first time to visit the city. We arrived mid-day to a gloomy surrounding and headed to Quick, sort of Jollibee here. Yet,the real treat was in the old town. Walking on the paved street for me was like being transported to another era. Aside from Musée des Beaux-Arts Dijon, we were able to visit Cathédrale de Saint Bénigne and the Notre Dame de Dijon. However, due to time constraint we were not able to visit other places. Our evening meal was in Le Théâtre des Sens, a small but cozy restaurant and where I've tried escargot. Yes, I did and blame it on the kir! Our dinner was really good, the waiter was very cheery and accomodating. We stayed at the Hotel Des Ducs where we spent the rest of the night watching crime scene investigation. Ah! the joy of havin...

A Kulasa and being on (Swiss) time

I cannot remember being "that late" besides I am a Kulasa and being on the dot was instilled in me. Well, there were times that due to unforseen circumstances I would be 5-10 mins late but that was it. So it was during my first two years of living here that I have really learned the importance of Swiss time . That thanks to my Mama. My mother would leave me when I didn't arrive on time. I would be upset and could not fathom the idea of being left like that. So I've learned to be on the dot(again) every time I have to see her. The idea of being late and being left behind stresses me to the max esp. if it is Mama. Now that I have two gals an extra time allowance has to be given so as not to be late. Besides, the buses have their stop and schedule so there are no more excuses. All I have to do is just be on time!

Vacation over

It's kinda hard to get up early again after 2 weeks of staying up late.I've started taking the girls early to bed and of course, they're awake at around 6h30. My husband on the other hand has started working and I think he misses his late mornings. Now it's back to normal sched again. Now, I'm lazily doing my chores and still hoping that my mug of coffee will take effect soon. How do you get back to normal routine after weeks of vacation?
