Why I keep blogging even without a reader?

The 100 CHF question has kept bugging me ever since I started blogging years ago. This is also the reason why I fell off the wagon so many times. Today, as I scheduled my writing and posting, I decided that continuing to write just for the sake of writing and following the schedule I have set for myself will suffice. It is enough for me, even without a reader. My plan is mainly to write and learn to express my thoughts. Write longer than 10 lines and insert the pictures that I have taken from our travels, my garden, here and there.

It's because of blogging that I was able to learn some HTML stuff. Because of writing here, I was able to discover a lot of things. Authors, podcasts, books to read, and what a joy it is to learn.

Writing...What's good about this is that for as long as I write, I have this feeling of being a researcher, a storyteller, and a real writer. While I type, I have this beautiful sensation of being someone else, detached from myself as a Nanay-someone who is in her element. Though no high-falutin words are used, each time the simplicity of my terms is enough. As long as I can get a grip on the words which seem to fly around me like butterflies.

Speaking up and having my own opinion expressed were curtailed when I was growing up and here as I write, there's a liberation of some sort. Kind of birthing into the reality I am supposed to be in.

Our mid-week get away in Dijon

Dijon, one of the cities in France, was the destination of our mid-week get away. The city, which is well known for its mustard,is a 3-hour train ride from Genève via Lausanne. As I've mentioned in my previous post ,this was my first time to visit the city. We arrived mid-day to a gloomy surrounding and headed to Quick, sort of Jollibee here. Yet,the real treat was in the old town. Walking on the paved street for me was like being transported to another era. Aside from Musée des Beaux-Arts Dijon, we were able to visit Cathédrale de Saint Bénigne and the Notre Dame de Dijon. However, due to time constraint we were not able to visit other places. Our evening meal was in Le Théâtre des Sens, a small but cozy restaurant and where I've tried escargot. Yes, I did and blame it on the kir! Our dinner was really good, the waiter was very cheery and accomodating. We stayed at the Hotel Des Ducs where we spent the rest of the night watching crime scene investigation. Ah! the joy of havin...

Imortal invades my home

A special thanks to My CHOS for letting me use the above photo. Just click on the photo to see more of John Lloyd and Angel Locsin. Recently, I have been smiling a lot because of John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin. This is after I have discovered Imortal one fine afternoon when the girls were having their nap and Nanay was having her quiet moment. Many viewers have compared the series to Twilight which I haven't seen yet. Yes, I might be the only soul who has not seen the film though I &hearts Robert Pattinson's eyes. Maybe soon, when I've got the time. Anyway, back to Imortal and John Lloyd Cruz--yes, this is my new fave tv series. I look forward every night for my girls to go to bed so that I can watch Imortal in peace. There are times when I just watch a week of the series on Fridays. This saves me time and I got to do something else. There's only one thing which frustrates me--nobody to share my "kilig Imortal" moments with. Now,please excuse me if I...

Vacation over

It's kinda hard to get up early again after 2 weeks of staying up late.I've started taking the girls early to bed and of course, they're awake at around 6h30. My husband on the other hand has started working and I think he misses his late mornings. Now it's back to normal sched again. Now, I'm lazily doing my chores and still hoping that my mug of coffee will take effect soon. How do you get back to normal routine after weeks of vacation?
