A beer, two readers, and a heartfelt gratitude / Completing & posting my 100+ blog drafts

23 January 2011 image post

August 2026. I thought that my beer image was accompanied by text. This one was taken while my husband and I were in Portugal.
Looking at this image, I have pastéis de nata, or Portugal's custard tart in my mind. I also remember the sardine shop and a man fishing. But this post is not only to remember my trip to Portugal, this post is also for those two people who managed to come here and read my blog.

At first, I was disappointed that I was not able to gain more readers but I changed my thoughts and immediately say a prayer of gratitude for them. I have to remember the reason for completing my drafts - my why- and not to be discouraged by the outcome. I have to remember that while writing, there's this immense joy and feeling of being in the moment. I have to remember that while typing every letter, there's a sense of gratitude and an overwhelming sensation of belonging to something bigger and greater.  There's flow, presence, and just BEING.

It's almost the end of the month, and my drafts are slowly going down in number.
Thank you, readers, from the bottom of my heart. Special mention to my ati Elsa, my aunt. The one who gifted me her remaining typing course. I love you... always.

Our mid-week get away in Dijon

Dijon, one of the cities in France, was the destination of our mid-week get away. The city, which is well known for its mustard,is a 3-hour train ride from Genève via Lausanne. As I've mentioned in my previous post ,this was my first time to visit the city. We arrived mid-day to a gloomy surrounding and headed to Quick, sort of Jollibee here. Yet,the real treat was in the old town. Walking on the paved street for me was like being transported to another era. Aside from Musée des Beaux-Arts Dijon, we were able to visit Cathédrale de Saint Bénigne and the Notre Dame de Dijon. However, due to time constraint we were not able to visit other places. Our evening meal was in Le Théâtre des Sens, a small but cozy restaurant and where I've tried escargot. Yes, I did and blame it on the kir! Our dinner was really good, the waiter was very cheery and accomodating. We stayed at the Hotel Des Ducs where we spent the rest of the night watching crime scene investigation. Ah! the joy of havin...

I wonder...

How can I stop looking up the sky? With it's beauty that never ceases to amaze me.

Imortal invades my home

A special thanks to My CHOS for letting me use the above photo. Just click on the photo to see more of John Lloyd and Angel Locsin. Recently, I have been smiling a lot because of John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin. This is after I have discovered Imortal one fine afternoon when the girls were having their nap and Nanay was having her quiet moment. Many viewers have compared the series to Twilight which I haven't seen yet. Yes, I might be the only soul who has not seen the film though I &hearts Robert Pattinson's eyes. Maybe soon, when I've got the time. Anyway, back to Imortal and John Lloyd Cruz--yes, this is my new fave tv series. I look forward every night for my girls to go to bed so that I can watch Imortal in peace. There are times when I just watch a week of the series on Fridays. This saves me time and I got to do something else. There's only one thing which frustrates me--nobody to share my "kilig Imortal" moments with. Now,please excuse me if I...
