Bloggers here I come! / Completing & posting my 100+ blog drafts

12 January 2011

If an hour or so of typing, loading pictures, consulting Wikipedia and a Thesaurus will help me to be better at what I'm doing so be it. I will post and hop and leave comments. So wait for me because I am coming but just right after I tuck my girls into bed.

21 August 2026

I think there's still an hour or so before my friends arrive. The rain has stopped and the sky has cleared but it's getting cold up here. Reading my draft, I see that nothing much has changed in my blogging process. Actually,  it is searching the photos that takes most of my time. I  thought that I had already sorted most of them out but no, that's not the fact. But the good thing is that they are all in my drive which can be taken anywhere. A tiny little thing that holds my memories and souvenirs of our lives and our travels. And of course, I do not tuck the girls in anymore.

Yes, I like to take pictures of just about anything. And I realized in browsing thru my folders that I have very few photos. I do not take selfies and have designated myself to be the family photographer in every event  of our lives. Yet these past 3 years, I insisted on selfies - to be present in the photos.

This is not just an expression of self-love, but also a way of appreciating my being and seeing every bit of me. I should be the very first person to appreciate my beauty and not cringe at the face that is staring back at me -  freckled, wiser and loved.

Have a great week-end!

Our mid-week get away in Dijon

Dijon, one of the cities in France, was the destination of our mid-week get away. The city, which is well known for its mustard,is a 3-hour train ride from Genève via Lausanne. As I've mentioned in my previous post ,this was my first time to visit the city. We arrived mid-day to a gloomy surrounding and headed to Quick, sort of Jollibee here. Yet,the real treat was in the old town. Walking on the paved street for me was like being transported to another era. Aside from Musée des Beaux-Arts Dijon, we were able to visit Cathédrale de Saint Bénigne and the Notre Dame de Dijon. However, due to time constraint we were not able to visit other places. Our evening meal was in Le Théâtre des Sens, a small but cozy restaurant and where I've tried escargot. Yes, I did and blame it on the kir! Our dinner was really good, the waiter was very cheery and accomodating. We stayed at the Hotel Des Ducs where we spent the rest of the night watching crime scene investigation. Ah! the joy of havin...

I wonder...

How can I stop looking up the sky? With it's beauty that never ceases to amaze me.

Imortal invades my home

A special thanks to My CHOS for letting me use the above photo. Just click on the photo to see more of John Lloyd and Angel Locsin. Recently, I have been smiling a lot because of John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin. This is after I have discovered Imortal one fine afternoon when the girls were having their nap and Nanay was having her quiet moment. Many viewers have compared the series to Twilight which I haven't seen yet. Yes, I might be the only soul who has not seen the film though I &hearts Robert Pattinson's eyes. Maybe soon, when I've got the time. Anyway, back to Imortal and John Lloyd Cruz--yes, this is my new fave tv series. I look forward every night for my girls to go to bed so that I can watch Imortal in peace. There are times when I just watch a week of the series on Fridays. This saves me time and I got to do something else. There's only one thing which frustrates me--nobody to share my "kilig Imortal" moments with. Now,please excuse me if I...
