Wedding cake / Completing & posting my 100+ blog drafts

Just looking at this picture makes me want to have a slice and dig in.Our gorgeous-looking cake(there were actually three) arranged in a swan cake stand was prepared by Ningning , a petite and soft-spoken  Kapangpangan. (28.06.2008)

Just look  at that cake!

It was  almost our first wedding anniversary when I started this draft.  I was truly in awe of our cake that I wanted to interview Ningning, unfortunately it didn't materialize. In a way, she inspired me to learn how to bake. That's why I started baking muffins and my girls' birthday cake and  some relatives ordered my cakes. There was a Spiderman cake, a baptismal cake, choco muffins, cookies and of course Peppa Pig cake with butter cream frosting and I printed and cut out Peppa and George's images.

Because of this, I accumulated a lot of baking accessories. Even contemplated on getting serious about selling baked goods. This was when I can still eat everything with gluten and dairy products.

Looking at these cakes, I am so proud of being able to create them. I have accomplished something and have learned to be patient. Maybe this is once a again a sign for me to continue baking although with some adjustment.

What do you think?

Our mid-week get away in Dijon

Dijon, one of the cities in France, was the destination of our mid-week get away. The city, which is well known for its mustard,is a 3-hour train ride from Genève via Lausanne. As I've mentioned in my previous post ,this was my first time to visit the city. We arrived mid-day to a gloomy surrounding and headed to Quick, sort of Jollibee here. Yet,the real treat was in the old town. Walking on the paved street for me was like being transported to another era. Aside from Musée des Beaux-Arts Dijon, we were able to visit Cathédrale de Saint Bénigne and the Notre Dame de Dijon. However, due to time constraint we were not able to visit other places. Our evening meal was in Le Théâtre des Sens, a small but cozy restaurant and where I've tried escargot. Yes, I did and blame it on the kir! Our dinner was really good, the waiter was very cheery and accomodating. We stayed at the Hotel Des Ducs where we spent the rest of the night watching crime scene investigation. Ah! the joy of havin...

I wonder...

How can I stop looking up the sky? With it's beauty that never ceases to amaze me.

Imortal invades my home

A special thanks to My CHOS for letting me use the above photo. Just click on the photo to see more of John Lloyd and Angel Locsin. Recently, I have been smiling a lot because of John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin. This is after I have discovered Imortal one fine afternoon when the girls were having their nap and Nanay was having her quiet moment. Many viewers have compared the series to Twilight which I haven't seen yet. Yes, I might be the only soul who has not seen the film though I &hearts Robert Pattinson's eyes. Maybe soon, when I've got the time. Anyway, back to Imortal and John Lloyd Cruz--yes, this is my new fave tv series. I look forward every night for my girls to go to bed so that I can watch Imortal in peace. There are times when I just watch a week of the series on Fridays. This saves me time and I got to do something else. There's only one thing which frustrates me--nobody to share my "kilig Imortal" moments with. Now,please excuse me if I...
