Life and letting go / Completing and posting my 100+ drafts

22 March 2012

80/100+
Present day

This draft contained an image of my daughters, taken a long time ago in Mama's home. I have added some elements and a quote. Now, reading it to get inspiration on what to write. It's almost 6h in the evening and still bright.
Adobo is simmering and tomorrow our packed lunch will be ready.
I am debating between finishing this line or putting my art stuff in the car. We are heading out early tomorrow for the yard sale, and for the 2nd year, I am selling some of my creations - paper crafts, drawings, postcards, and some bookmarks. There are also some indoor plants potted into mugs and cups I no longer need at home.
Yard sales are one of the things I love here in Geneva. Maybe because at a very young age, I was into selling. Halo-halo, banana cue, fritters, you name it. Yet, we didn't do any yard sales. We held on to our things, reused everything until we could no longer use it.
Maybe this is part of my learning while away from my homeland.
To cherish the moment. To learn when to let go. Make space for important things in life and to stop accumulating unnecessary stuff.
I am almost there.

Our mid-week get away in Dijon

Dijon, one of the cities in France, was the destination of our mid-week get away. The city, which is well known for its mustard,is a 3-hour train ride from Genève via Lausanne. As I've mentioned in my previous post ,this was my first time to visit the city. We arrived mid-day to a gloomy surrounding and headed to Quick, sort of Jollibee here. Yet,the real treat was in the old town. Walking on the paved street for me was like being transported to another era. Aside from Musée des Beaux-Arts Dijon, we were able to visit Cathédrale de Saint Bénigne and the Notre Dame de Dijon. However, due to time constraint we were not able to visit other places. Our evening meal was in Le Théâtre des Sens, a small but cozy restaurant and where I've tried escargot. Yes, I did and blame it on the kir! Our dinner was really good, the waiter was very cheery and accomodating. We stayed at the Hotel Des Ducs where we spent the rest of the night watching crime scene investigation. Ah! the joy of havin...

I wonder...

How can I stop looking up the sky? With it's beauty that never ceases to amaze me.

Imortal invades my home

A special thanks to My CHOS for letting me use the above photo. Just click on the photo to see more of John Lloyd and Angel Locsin. Recently, I have been smiling a lot because of John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin. This is after I have discovered Imortal one fine afternoon when the girls were having their nap and Nanay was having her quiet moment. Many viewers have compared the series to Twilight which I haven't seen yet. Yes, I might be the only soul who has not seen the film though I &hearts Robert Pattinson's eyes. Maybe soon, when I've got the time. Anyway, back to Imortal and John Lloyd Cruz--yes, this is my new fave tv series. I look forward every night for my girls to go to bed so that I can watch Imortal in peace. There are times when I just watch a week of the series on Fridays. This saves me time and I got to do something else. There's only one thing which frustrates me--nobody to share my "kilig Imortal" moments with. Now,please excuse me if I...
