As soon as the day starts to get warm, we take advantage of it and have barbeque at home. Hubby has this mini grill that we use and easy to clean. The only downside is that we crouch while cooking coz we do it with woods we have around our garden.
Just like in lighting a fireplace, my husband and I have different ways of lighting a fire for our bbq. He'd gather branches and light some crumpled papers in the middle. I, on the other hand would get twigs, light some papers in the middle and as soon as the flame started, that's the only time I'd put the bigger chunks of wood. I learned this while growing up and cooking over a firewood stove.
As I write this, I was reminded of Christian's experience in Zambales with his guide named Kasuy on lighting a fire. I would like to learn his way. No need to crumpled papers or look for a lighter just an ancient method that really works.
